24 hours in cph

Today we bring you a break in the feed for a little change of scenery. Jumping across the Sound (Öresund or Øresund, depending on which side of the water you're on) from Malmö, we arrive in the capital of Denmark.

This short stop in Copenhagen was a turning point. It marked me.

The "gotta-catch-em-all" traveler took the wheel (or should I say the handlebars) this trip. I ran around like a madwoman trying to see it all in one day.

So much to see, so little time. An overloaded itinerary and an ambitious, curious cat. Let's just say this was not my best excursion.

Granted, if you're bursting with energy, maybe you should give it a go. Not I, however. After a short...long day, I barely made it to my room and plopped onto the bed, exhausted to the bone. Reality hit me: I'm no longer the studying abroad collegiate with endless endurance to run and roam nonstop, just to do it all over again the next day.

Gone with those glory days are my priorities for traveling–goodbye maximum efficiency and jam-packing the schedule with everything I want to see and eat and do; hello taking it easy and stopping to smell the flowers. Apparently with age, I've gained some chill points.
