homemaking

I'm convinced Swedes are born fluent in aesthetics. They come out of the womb knowing exactly how to make things beautiful. It's a part of their instinct.

This is Ted, at age two. See what I mean?

Take a stroll down any street in this country and it's painfully obvious how much care and thought go into each home. From the plants lining the balconies, to the fabric choice of each curtain, it's all there in the details, spelled in big, fat capital letters: B-E-A-U-T-Y lives here.

Welcome to Grandparents' home.

Situated in Skelleftea, up north in Norrland, Grand Lundkvists have cultivated lush gardens, backyard cottages, reading nooks throughout the property... a getaway paradise of sorts, except this is not a travel destination; it's home.

I'd love to do a photo project documenting how people have made an empty structure into their own abode. Some day. Sponsors, have your people call my people.
